Huge and Symptomatic Splenic Hemangioma

Abstract


Background Vascular neoplasms are the most common primary splenic tumors that include both benignand malignant variants. One of these variants is hemangioma which is a benign vascular tumor. Hemangiomas are slow growing and large tumors are rare. These tumors are most often incidental findings during imaging studies, laparotomy, or at autopsy.Case PresentationHerein, we presented a young lady presented with nausea, vomiting, epistaxis and huge splenomegaly.ConclusionsImaging studies suggested a hemangioma that was confirmed after splenectomy and pathologic study. In the follow-up, the patient was ding well.
